CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - Are you still looking for some fun activities to do with your kids this summer? If so, we’ve got you covered.
Maverick with Tweetsie Railroad joined us in the studio today to tell us what guests can expect form the new ride and the 68th season.

According to Maverick, the ‘Bullwhip’ ride is a pendulum swing with outward facing seats which will spin riders around in the air.
It will open this summer and regular operation starts on Saturday, April 6.
Maverick also reminded us that for the first time this year, there is a new chaperone policy in place, stating that all guests, aged 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult who is 21 order older.

For those of you, who are not familiar with Tweetsie Railroad, it is a family amusement and Wild West theme park located between Boone and Blowing Rock in NC.
Visitors are taken on a journey back in time, with exciting rides, a deer park zoo, live entertainment, including a magic show for kids and their famous fudge shops.

Maverick brought some delicious Easter-themed fudge with him to the studio to get our taste buds ready for the new season.
Tweetsie Railroad also operates two historic narrow-gauge steam locomotives, the No. 12 ‘Tweetsie’ and No. 190 ‘Yukon Queen’ and regularly organizes special family-friendly events.
From June 7 to 10 and 13 to 16, visitors can come by and enjoy a ‘Day Out With Thomas’, on July 4, they will host a Fireworks Extravaganza, on Aug. 24 and 25 they will celebrate the Railroad Heritage weekend, to name a few.

There are also season passes available for those who would like to join in on the fun multiple times throughout the year.
