CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - He may be in a New York State of Mind, but you can watch the Piano Man right from your couch this weekend for free.
On Sunday night, “Billy Joel: The 100th - Live at Madison Square Garden” airs on WBTV/CBS. In the special, Joel took the stage in front of a sold-out crowd to perform some of his iconic songs, including “New York State of Mind,” “Piano Man” and new hit “Turn the Lights Back On.”
Billy Joel first performed at The Garden on Dec. 14, 1978. All of his shows there have sold out.
QC Life’s Kristen Miranda got the chance to talk to the star’s musical director and keyboardist David Rosenthal and saxophonist Mark Rivera, two men who have shared a stage with Billy Joel for years.
The special runs 9-11 p.m. and can also be streamed on Paramount+.
