CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - Classroom Central’s “Thanks a Million” campaign is underway throughout the month of May, distributing $1 million in free school supplies to educators across the area.
The campaign coincides with Teacher Appreciation Month. Karen Calder, executive director of Classroom Central, joined the show to talk more about the mission and its impact on teachers.
Teachers are often expected to furnish their own classrooms, and many across the area are teaching students who live in poverty.
Since it was founded, Classroom Central has served nearly 250 schools and more than 162,000 students.
