CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - An 18-year-old is bringing together the worlds of high fashion and crochet one stitch at a time.
DeJané Angel Cade is the owner of Angel Love Crochet & Company, which she started seven years ago.
Her first project? A baby blanket.
Cade learned to crochet from her mother, who taught herself when she lived in Liberia.
It wasn’t long before Cade took an interest in high fashion and how to bring the two together.

All of her creations are designed and hand-crafted by her – including her junior and senior prom dresses.
Her current collection is the spring 2024 Citrus Love Campaign, beach wear in vibrant oranges, yellows and greens.
Beyond clothing, Cade also creates hats, bags, and, of course, blankets.
Cade says she hopes to teach children in Liberia how to crochet.
