CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - Many people have turned to Ozempic or similar drugs to help lose weight over the past several years.

Originally designed to treat Type 2 diabetes, Ozempic’s twin drugs have been approved for weight loss, yielding positive results for many people.

To talk about the drug’s effect on pregnancy and women’s health, Dr. Jennie Hauschka, gynecologist and clinical director at Tryon Women’s Center, joined the show.

She discussed weight loss’ impact on fertility, its effect on absorption of birth control pills and more. She said the best thing to do, though, is to talk to a gynecologist with any questions or concerns.
