Juneteenth celebrated through concert this weekend Liberation & Inspiration: A Juneteenth Celebratory Concert will be coming to Charlotte Saturday, June 15.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - Liberation & Inspiration: A Juneteenth Celebratory Concert will be coming to Charlotte Saturday, June 15.

The event, which will be hosted by Grammy Award-Winner and songwriter Kirk Franklin, will be held at the Knight Theater located at 430 S. Tryon Street from 6:30-8 p.m.

During this celebratory concert, performances will be done by the breakout stars of America’s Got Talent, Sainted Trap Choir featuring the Gantt Center’s Dennis Reed Jr. and more. Also making a guest appearance is award-winning recording artist and actress Fantasia.

This concert commemorates Juneteenth, held on June 19, the day in which slavery ended in the United States.

This celebratory concert, which is proudly presented by the Gantt Center, is made possible by Bank of America’s support.

The concert is for all ages and tickets can be purchased here or through CarolinaTix. Ticket prices start at $20.
