NORWOOD, N.C. (QC Life) - Looking to get out of the city and disconnect from everyday life? Just over an hour from Charlotte, Juneberry Ridge is the getaway spot for all things nature.
Located in Norwood, N.C., in Stanly County, Juneberry Ridge started off as a dream for founder Judy Carpenter.
Carpenter, a national champion in clay shooting, started inviting people to her home to shoot. Later, she decided to open up 750 acres of land to the public, inviting everyone to enjoy the world of the outdoors and nature.
The land is used for plenty of things, such as farming and lodging for guests wanting to stay for a weekend.
Guests of the farm can learn about different farming techniques, be around the different animals the farm has, eat the food that is grown there and even participate in yoga classes and forest bathing.

Juneberry Ridge aims to minimize inputs of what goes into the farm systems and maximize the impact of what the farm can do for others.
A farm stay for one person is priced at around $800.
