CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - Do you think you have the cutest pet? Do you think your pet is more photogenic than others? If you said yes, there is a chance your furry friend’s face can be put on a limited edition beer label.
Going on its fourth year, the Humane Society of Charlotte, in collaboration with NoDa Brewing Company, is doing a contest to find the next pet faces to be put on the can of the new “Rescue Brew 2024,” a beer by NoDa Brewing Company.
To enter your pet, submit a photo of them by themselves by 11:59 p.m. June 24, along with an explanation as to why your pet is the best pick. After your pet’s photo is submitted, the public will vote on their favorites until 11:59 p.m. June 30. Donations are encouraged during the voting period and can be made on the voting website. One vote costs one dollar.
Donations will go to the Humane Society of Charlotte, which will be used for different things such as pet food, spay and neuter services and more.
The pets with the most votes, one cat and one dog, will be titled Top Dog and Queen City Kitty and their portrait will be put on the special beer can. The portrait will be drawn by a local artist.

The other top-voted pets, six dogs and six cats will receive a professional photoshoot.
Joining us in the studio today from the Humane Society of Charlotte to talk about the contest and the animal shelter are Megan Doherty, marketing and communications manager, and Joshua Woodlief, events manager, along with two furry friends who are up for adoption.
