CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - A new exhibit opening this weekend at the Mint Museum’s Uptown location is blending art with natural sounds and smells to create a multi-sensory experience.

The exhibit, “Whitfield Lovell: Passages,” opens Saturday at 11 a.m., and is free to the public. It will be at the Mint Museum through Sept. 22.

It spans gallery space on two levels and portrays the stories of anonymous African-Americans following emancipation through the Civil Rights movement.

Before the exhibit opens, QC Life’s Jorge Andres got to look around and spoke with some of the people behind it.
