CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - With the flash and bang of the fireworks last night, pets can get especially anxious and even run away. What should you do if that happened to you?
David Shrewsberry, CMPD Animal Care and Control, joined our show today to help worried pet owners know what to do when their pets ran off during the July 4 celebrations.
If your pet ran away, check:
- Your local animal shelter at least once every three days
- Your microchip company if your pet has a microchip and make sure your contact info is correct
- Your neighborhood apps
- Further than you think your pet would go
