CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - Age is just number. And qualifying for social security doesn’t mean quitting your dream.
Mo Rocca, CBS Mornings Correspondent and author of “Mobituaries,” shared more about his newest book “Roctogenarians: Late in Life Debuts, Comebacks, and Triumphs.” This book was published in June, and it celebrates the triumphs of people who made their greatest achievements late in life.
Some of the cast in this inspiring collection include:
- Henri Matisse, who began work on his celebrated cut-outs when he could no longer paint
- Mary Church Terrell, who helped lead sit-ins at segregated Washington, D.C. at the age of 86
- Mel Brooks, who is almost 100 years old
- Carol Channing, who married the love of her life at age 82
- Peter Mark Roget, who finished writing his thesaurus that he began in his 20s at the age of 73.
To hear more about these late-in-life achievers, watch the segment above or buy your own copy of “Roctogenarians.”
