CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - July is a month of fiestas as we celebrate the independence days of several Latin American countries.

Throughout the month of July, several Latin American countries celebrate their independence days. The Charlotte Museum of History and Fiestas Patrias have joined together to get in on the celebration.

This Saturday, Fiestas Patrias will be hosting an event to celebrate Peru’s independence day at the Charlotte Museum of History. Peru’s independence day is this Sunday, July 28.

QC Life’s Jorge Andres met with Terri White, the president and CEO of the Charlotte Museum of History, and Rafael Prieto, co-founder of Fiestas Patrias to learn more. Watch the segment above to hear the full conversation.

Latin American independence days being celebrated in July include Argentina, Venezuela, Columbia and Peru.
