MOORESVILLE, N.C. (QC Life) - Forget the pool and go to the lake to cool off after a hot day.

Meteorologist Eric Garlick was out at Carrigan Farms on Thursday to see what they have planned for the end of summer.

Carrigan Farms will be hosting “Open Swim,” where anyone can swim in the lake in the farm’s spring-fed quarry.

The lake will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 3:45 p.m. to sunset everyday.

While “refreshing” may mean “cold” to some, the lake’s water temperature normally stays in the 70s.
