CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - There’s nothing like summer days in Charlotte, check out what’s happening around the Queen City this weekend.

Cirque du Soleil: Corteo (Bojangles Coliseum), through Sunday: Join the parade in Cirque du Soleil’s joyous Corteo. The high-flying sensation features gravity defying circus acts that have wowed audiences worldwide. Mauro the clown looks back at his life through stunning imagery of grand chandeliers, amazing acrobatics and floating balloons. Tickets start at $64.

Skillet & Sugar Ray (Carowinds), Friday & Saturday: Carowinds’ inaugural summer music fest continues with two great bands this weekend. On Friday, rock out to Billboard Music Award-winner Skillet. Then on Saturday, feel the California vibes with “Every Morning” pop/alt-rockers Sugar Ray. Admission to each concert is included with valid daily admission to Carowinds.

Limp Bizkit (PNC Music Pavilion), Friday 6:30 p.m.: “Rollin’” rockstars Limp Bizkit is hitting the road with their LOSERVILLE 2024 tour. Joining them will be BONES, N8NOFACE, Corey Feldman and Riff Raff. Tickets start at $45.65.

Collect-A-Con (Charlotte Convention Center), Saturday & Sunday: One of the country’s largest pop culture conventions returns to Charlotte for an exciting weekend with almost 1,000 vendors selling everything from hard-to-find Funko POP! Figures to exclusive Magic: The Gathering cards. Don’t miss your chance to meet special guest Chuck Norris and a performance by the Ying Yang Twins. Two-day passes start at $45 with single day admission available. Open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free for children 7 and under.

The Sneaker Exit (Charlotte Convention Center), Saturday 1 to 6 p.m.: Sneakerheads from all around the country are gearing up for a big day of sneaker trading. Attendees can sell, trade and buy sneakers with other enthusiasts, as well as streetwear, accessories and more. Tickets start at $25 with early entry upgrades available.

NoDa Bizarre, Saturday 3 to 8 p.m.: Head to one of Charlotte’s most eclectic neighborhoods for an all-new arts festival. Showcasing the work of over 50 local artists and musicians, you’ll find everything from photography to jewelry, home goods and pottery, plus so much more. Go on an Art Quest to discover and learn all about the art that gives NoDa its unique charm or take part in the community mural and become an artist yourself. Admission is free.

Optimist Hall Extravaganza, Saturday 5 to 9 p.m.: The fan-favorite food hall is celebrating its 5th birthday and you’re invited! Just outside the hall, you’ll find a carnival with a Ferris Wheel, musical swings, a giant slide, carnival games and more. Kids, and the young-at-heart, can get their faces painted and a DJ will be spinning all night long while you enjoy bites from your favorite stalls at Optimist. Admission is free.

Cars & Cuba Libre Classic Car Show (El Puro), Sunday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Charlotte will get a taste of Havana this weekend with a classic car show featuring traditional Cuban cars. Get a 360-degree view in and around these vintage beauties while enjoying live traditional music or enjoying a Cuban-inspired brunch. Collectors who want to show off their own cars are also invited to participate.

Front Porch Sunday (Rail Trail South End), Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: If it’s the first Sunday of the month, you know where to go. South End comes alive with an outdoor block party featuring almost 100 local vendors selling just about everything you need. From homemade leather goods to hand-poured candles, find a gift for a loved one or even yourself while shopping small. As you walk the trail, enjoy the summer sounds of local artists. Admission is free.
