CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - This show ain’t no passing craze. Disney’s “The Lion King” is now in the Queen City.
QC Life’s Jorge Andres went behind the scenes today to see how they bring this production to life.
He met with the puppet supervisor and the actor who plays Zazu to learn how the puppets and the actors work together to make all of these moving parts as lifelike as possible.
From costumes and masks to makeup and choreography, everything works together to bring these puppets
The show runs through September 8 at the Belk Theater.

Andres also got to see some of the set pieces and met with the wardrobe assistant to get a closer look at the costumes and the process of costume changes throughout the show.
There are over 300 costume changes per show.
He also met the actor who plays Simba to learn what it’s like to play such a key role and how he puts his own spin on a familiar story.
