CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - August 15 is National Check the Chip Day!

Melissa Knicely from Animal Care and Control (ACC) shared how microchips for pets work and why they are so important.

Pet owners should ensure that the registration for their pet’s chips is up to date. Owners should also make sure the information on pet collar ID tags is correct.

To celebrate National Check the Chip Day the ACC Tag team will be at Lucky Dog Bark and Brew’s Charlotte location on 2220 Thrift Street tomorrow evening from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a Check Your Chip checkpoint station as well as making free custom pet ID tags.
