Here’s a list of things to do the weekend of Jan. 24-26, 2025:
Queen’s Feast: Charlotte Restaurant Week, through Sunday: Twice a year, Charlotte foodies can dine to their heart’s desires with Queen’s Feast, also known as Charlotte Restaurant Week. Over 100 restaurants from neighborhoods all around the Queen City dish up delicious discounts with prix fixe 3-course meals, often at huge savings. Make a reservation at a new restaurant you’ve always wanted to try or hit up a tried-and-true favorite. Check their website for a full list of restaurants, menus and offerings.
R&B Nights (Ovens Auditorium), Friday 8 p.m.: Are you ready for an evening of soulful music with some of the biggest names in R&B? Head on over to the Ovens Auditorium for a stacked lineup of celebrated voices including Dru Hill, Jon B, Case and Changing Faces. Tickets start at $75.

Black Notes Project (various locations), Friday to Sunday: The Black Notes Project is returning for its second year with a weekend full of Black music and art. This year’s theme is jazz with a number of programs to honor the style including “Purple is a Beautiful Thing: a Jazz Celebration of Prince” hosted by Mayte Garcia, who was once married to the iconic artist. Shop the Yard (Victoria Yards), Saturday noon to 6 p.m.: The colorful Uptown hotspot is back to host the monthly vendor market. With dozens of local artists and small businesses, you’ll find anything you’re looking for to spruce up your life including handmade gifts, home décor, artisan candles and so much more. Admission is free.
Lunar New Year Celebration (Resident Culture Plaza Midwood & South End), Saturday 12:30 to 9 p.m.: Celebrate the year of the snake with a cultural festival with plenty of good fortune. Enjoy a book reading of “Bringing in the New Year,” a Chinese calligraphy performance, dumpling making classes, lion dancing and long pole performances. If you’re lucky, you might get a red envelope with a fun surprise inside. Admission is free with some programs at cost.
Charlotte Hornets vs. New Orleans Pelicans (Spectrum Center), Saturday 7 p.m.: It’s 704 night and the first 5,000 fans through the doors at Spectrum Center will get a free 704 beanie! Then cheer on the Hornets for a fun night of ball.
Belmont Winter Market (Downtown Belmont), Sunday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.: It may be a bit chilly outside but the Belmont Farmers Market continues with a winter edition of the popular gathering. You’ll find many of your favorite vendors returning selling crafts, baked goods, art and more as we await the regular season in April.

India’s Republic Day Celebration (Hindu Center of Charlotte), Sunday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Commemorating the 76th year of India’s adoption of the constitution, the Charlotte Indian community gathers together for a fun day full of culture including a flag unfurling, cultural performances, food, art and more. Guests are encouraged to wear orange, white and green to show their pride.
Hamilton (Belk Theater), through February 2: Don’t throw away your shot! The Tony Award-winning musical by Lin Manuel Miranda returns to the Queen City for a month-long run. Experience the rise of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton with rap, hip hop, jazz and R&B in the epic Broadway blockbuster that has broken records around the world. Tickets start at $49.50, check their website for remaining showtimes.
