An early pioneer in probiotics, Yakult, was first established in 1935 in Japan. Yakult Probiotic Drink is made with fermented dairy and contains billions of Live and Active Probiotic cultures of the L. Para-Casei strain Shirota strain.
Rudy Lara, Branch Manager of Yakult U.S.A. Inc., spoke with QC Life about the history of Yakult, and what makes it different from other probiotics.
Yakult is available at your local Food Lion, Publix, or Wal-Mart. Look for it in the yogurt aisle.
