CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - Friday, May 30 is National Creativity Day, and what better way to celebrate than by getting crafty live on-air? We’re giving Jorge and Jana a quick, easy, and fun way to tap into their artistic sides by customizing wearable art during the broadcast.
To guide them through the process, we’re bringing in local artist Coley Rupprecht, the creative force behind Coleslaw Creative. Coley is a talented mixed media artist known for her vibrant acrylic paintings and immersive installation art. With a background in themed experience and theme park design, she brings a playful and approachable energy to everything she touches.
Currently, Coley is working on a large-scale collaborative installation at Arts+, alongside other Charlotte-based artists.
For the segment, we’re keeping it fun and simple: Jorge and Jana will each decorate a small canvas tote bag, complete with a section labeled with their names to personalize. With Coley’s guidance, they’ll add their own flair during the broadcast and over commercial breaks—no experience necessary!
