Here’s a list of things to do the weekend of July 3-6, 2025:

SkyShow Fireworks Spectacular (Truist Field), Thursday: A Charlotte tradition is ready to light up the Queen City again. First, catch the Charlotte Knights take on the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp at Truist Field. Immediately after the game, stick around for an explosive display of pyrotechnics to kick off your 4th of July weekend. First pitch is at 6:05. Tickets start at $27.17. If you’re feeling extra patriotic, upgrade your ticket to the Party at SkyShow which includes access to the Corona Rooftop Party Zone and a 2-hour all-you-can-eat buffet for $55.43.

Tread, White & Blue 5K Trail Race (Whitewater Center), Friday 7 a.m.: Start your holiday breaking a sweat – but with a twist. When you register, choose from either the red, white or blue course. The color you choose will determine the 5K trail you follow. Participants will not know where each trail leads until the race. Which will you choose? Registration is $45.

4 on the 4th (Symphony Park), Friday 7:30 a.m.: Can you run 4 on the 4th? 4 miles that is. Soak in the summer spirit with a fun run around the SouthPark neighborhood. Celebrate your accomplishment at the finish line with live music, games, trivia and festival. Registration is $45 for adults and $15 for the kids mile.

7.04 Day Block Party (Queen Park Social), Friday 3 to 9 p.m.: Celebrate America and Charlotte with 7.04 Day. From the art to the music, to the people, embrace what makes the Queen City so unique with a street festival all about the 704. With two stages of nonstop entertainment, a vendor market filled with local favorites and bring-your-own skates roller rink, share a day all about Charlotte culture with your friends and family. Tickets start at $17.49.

Star Spangled Nights (Carowinds), Friday & Saturday 9:30 p.m.: After Fury 325 gets your heart racing, celebrate our country’s independence with a dazzling display of colorful fireworks lighting up the coaster skyline. Synced to patriotic music, feel the American spirit at the border of North and South Carolina for two nights only. Show is included with your park admission.

Carolina Eucalyptus Festival (Carolina Lavender Farm), Friday to Sunday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.: It may be a lavender farm, but it’s also home to over 600 eucalyptus trees. Walk around through ten different species of eucalyptus trees and pick out your own fresh bundles or take a tree home with you. Try out the farm’s homemade essential oils distilled right at the farm or purchase gifts made from the farm’s lavender and eucalyptus. Admission is $20.

Red, White + Blooms (Daniel Stowe Conservancy), Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.: Spring into summer with a scenic afternoon of Americana. Kicking off with a Coffee + Cars cruise-in at 8:30 a.m., classic cars will parade down to the Garden Pavilion just in time for the 10 a.m. opening. Enjoy live music from Jesse James DeConto, the Crystal Fountains Duo and the Wagon Load a Trouble and dance to those summertime vibes. Walk through the butterfly bungalow and keep an eye out for the themed scavenger hunt. Kids can enjoy the craft table with face glitter and temporary tattoos. Admission is $20 for adults, $10 for children ages 2 to 12, and free for children under 2.

Charlotte FC vs. Orlando City SC (Bank of America Stadium), Saturday 7:15 p.m.: Charlotte FC is kicking off the Summer of Soccer as the Fortress hosts four weekly matches at home. Throughout the month of July, enjoy specials and promos at each game. On Saturday, arrive early as the first fans will get a limited-edition Charlotte FC straw hat. Tickets start at $39.40.

Queen Charlotte Fair (Route 29 Pavilion), closing Saturday The fair is back and bigger than ever! Head to Route 29 Pavilion for a day of family fun. This new and improved fair now has double the rides, more games, more shows and even more of that delicious fair food. Don’t miss the thrilling outdoor circus, the educational and entertaining parakeet exhibit, and the family-favorite petting zoo. Admission is $8 for children ages 6 to 12 and $12 for adults. All rides are sold separately.
