Passing along the O'Connor's String Talents

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - Husband & wife duo Mark & Maggie O’Conner joined us on QC Life to talk about their music career, and their summer camp happening next week here in Charlotte.

The O’Connor Method String Camp is a music instruction camp for violin, viola, cello, double bass, and orchestra based on the O’Connor Method. This camp uses American music, creativity, cultural diversity, and improvisation to improve learning for both children and adults who want to take string lessons while enjoying and excelling at music. This camp is directed by the author of the O’Connor Method Mark O’Connor and his wife Maggie O’Connor.

There will be group classes, orchestra period, daily recitals and jam session culminating in a final performance “Playdown” before the public on February 18th in Heaton Hall at Myers Park, at 7:30pm. To find out more information, press here.

We also got a performance from the duo, which you can watch in the video player below!
