CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - If you are looking for a local story that is a total homerun, listen up!
Griffin is currently undergoing rehabilitation at Levine Children’s Hospital after surviving a life threatening brain bleed. Griffin has attacked recovery with full gusto working in physical therapy for speech and mobility.
In addition he participated in the Cannon Ballers’ annual jersey design contest in partnership with Atrium Health Levine Children’s and Arts for Life, an art therapy program that helps pediatric patients heal through creativity.
His winning design will be worn by the entire team during their game on August 2 and the first 1,000 kids in attendance that night will receive a youth-sized replica of Griffin’s jersey, courtesy of Atrium Health.
Game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off later this season to benefit Arts for Life and support other young patients like Griffin.
