Here’s a list of things to do the weekend of August 15-17, 2025:
The Book of Mormon (Ovens Auditorium), through Sunday: Hello! Your favorite singing missionaries have made their way back to Charlotte. Still one of Broadway’s longest running blockbusters, The Book of Mormon is still packing audiences around the world with its outrageous humor and catchy tunes. Tickets start at $28.90.
CLT Burger Week (various locations), starting Friday: Can you say yum? Get ready for a delicious deal on burgers from some of the city’s hottest restaurants. Select one (or two or more) specialty burger from over two dozen restaurants for only $8 Restaurants include Burgers & Barley, Whiskey Warehouse, Mac’s Speed Shop and more. The deals don’t stop at the burgers. Many of the spots will include drink specials as well.

Thrift Pony After Dark (Camp North End), Friday 5 to 9 p.m.: Summer nights just feel better with a shopping spree at one of Charlotte’s best vintage stores. Head to the Boileryard at Camp North End for Thrift Pony After Dark to catch some sunset secondhand steals and good vibes. Dance under the water tower with the live DJ and start your weekend with a bang. Admission is free.
2025 PFL World Tournament Finals (Bojangles Coliseum), Friday 6 p.m.: PFL, the Professional Fighters League, will debut in Charlotte this Friday with an epic fight for the title. For the main event, England’s Alfie Davis will take on last year’s PFL Lightweight Champion Gadzhi Rabadanov. You can also catch the women’s flyweight tournament final with Jena Bishop vs. Liz Carmouche. Tickets start at $40.70.
Science on the Rocks (Discovery Place Science), Friday 6 p.m.: When the sun sets, Discovery Place Science transforms into an adults-only playground. Explore the grounds of the museum in a kid-free atmosphere while enjoying cocktails, a live band and hands-on lab activities. You can even upgrade your ticket to add on a planetarium show in IMAX or a taste test workshop. 21 and over only. Admission starts at $22.
Charlotte Pride and Parade (First Ward Park), Saturday & Sunday: Uptown’s largest festival returns in an all-new location for an action-packed weekend celebrating the local LGBTQ+ community. With tons of live entertainment, art exhibits, vendors, a food court and so much more, Charlotte Pride has something for everyone. This year’s headliners are Adore Delano, Snow Wife and Shaun Ross.. Don’t miss the colorful Charlotte Pride Parade on Sunday starting at 1 p.m. down N. Tryon Street. Stop by the WBTV booth to meet your favorite on-air friends and to get some swag. Open Saturday from noon to 11 p.m. and Sunday noon to 6 p.m. Admission is free.
India Independence Day (Hindu Center of Charlotte), Saturday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Celebrate the 79th year of India’s independence with a cultural festival that is open to all. Watch a flag hoisting ceremony, enjoy Indian cultural dances and music, see an exhibit honoring Indian Independence Day, as well as plenty of delicious Indian cuisine and a vendor market. Admission is free.

Charlotte FC vs. Real Salt Lake (Bank of America Stadium), Saturday 7:30 p.m.: It’s another home game for Charlotte FC as they take on Real Salt Lake this weekend. Can they continue the winning streak? Tickets start at $39.40.
Immediate Family (Booth Playhouse), now through September 7: Extended due to popular demand. A new play is making its southeast premiere. Immediate Family, written by Hamilton’s Paul Oakley Stovall and directed by Phylicia Rashad, is the heartwarming and hilarious family reunion. Take a peek into the lives of the Bryant family as they overcome secrets, trauma and card games. Tickets start at $27.98.
