Here’s a list of things to do the weekend of Sept. 26-28, 2025:
Cleveland County Fair (Cleveland County Agricultural Fair), opening Thursday: Since 1924, the Cleveland County Fair has been bringing the community together with its fair rides, games, food and exhibits. Celebrating it’s 101 years, the county fair will feature familiar activities along with fireworks, rodeos, demolition derbies and so much more. Admission is $8.
Wicked (Belk Theater), opening weekend: The Broadway blockbuster that’s still enchanting audiences worldwide and selling out at the Gershwin Theatre in New York is flying back to Charlotte for a month-long run. With Wicked: For Good heading to theaters this November, it’s a good way to get a sneak peek at the ending of the beloved musical. Before Dorothy landed in Oz, learn the untold story of the two witches and why one was called “good” and the other “Wicked.” Tickets start at $46.58.

Breakaway Music Festival (zMAX Dragway), Friday & Saturday: Get ready to dance for a 2-day party at the zMAX Dragway. This year’s headliners include John Summit, Eli Brown, Kaytranada and Louis the Child. Keep the party going at one of the many official afterparties around town. Single day admission passes start at $115 with weekend passes at $299.
Hodges Family Farm Pumpkin Patch, opening Saturday: It’s officially pumpkin season and the Hodges Family Farm is the place to be for fall fun for the whole family. Pick your perfect pumpkin to take home, climb hay bales, meet barn animals and take a hayride. Browse the farm shop for homemade seasonal products and food. Admission is free.
Wine & Food Festival (Symphony Park), Saturday noon to 5 p.m.: What better way to spend your Saturday than an all-you-care-to-taste afternoon with over 100 beers, wines and spirits from around the world. Savor the experience with live music and delicious food trucks to pair with your beverages. Tickets start at $39. Proceeds benefit Spirit of Hope Children’s Foundation.
Charlotte Mimosa Festival (Lenny Boy Brewing), Saturday noon to 5 p.m.: If you like your bubbles with a side of fun, head to the Charlotte Mimosa Festival this Saturday at Lenny Boy Brewing. From mimosas of all flavors to live music and dancing, this is a party you won’t want to miss. Your ticket includes seven mimosas, plenty of photo ops, a live DJ and access to some of the city’s best food trucks. Grab a VIP ticket to get early access and appetizers. Tickets start at $58.05.
Charlotte FC vs. CF Montreal (Bank of America Stadium), Saturday 7:30 p.m.: Catch Charlotte FC take on CF Montreal this weekend as the crown continues to push for the playoffs. The team will also be celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with Por La Cultura night. Before the game, Mint St. transforms into Fiesta Por La Cultura with live performances, food trucks, activities and more. The fiesta is free and is from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tickets to the game start at $50.50.

Charlotte Film Festival (Independent Picture House), through Sunday: Get your popcorn buckets ready and get cozy because this year’s Charlotte Film Festival features over 100 films from emerging artists and filmmakers. Showcasing all forms of the media, patrons can find animated, documentaries, shorts and features plus so much more, many from local filmmakers. Individual films are $14 with ticket packs available for purchase.
Charlotte International Arts Festival (various locations), through Sunday: It’s your final weekend to experience the wonder of the Charlotte International Arts Festival. From unique sculptures in Uptown and in Ballantyne, to even more events around the Queen City, soak in the creative atmosphere and discover your own artistic side. Admission is free for most events.
