ROCK HILL, S.C. (WBTV) - Girls on the Run Tri County SC is hosting its Reindeer Romp 5K presented by Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill this December!
Girls on the Run is a national nonprofit with a mission to “inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.”
The nonprofit’s Tri County council in South Carolina is holding its annual 5K in Rock Hill next month.
Here’s what you need to know.

5K event details
The 5K is happening on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, in Downtown Rock Hill near Fountain Park.
The “Fun Zone” will open at 7 a.m., and the actual 5K will begin at 8 a.m.
According to the nonprofit, the annual 5K is meant to celebrate the end of the season and all of the Girls on the Run program participants in the area.
The event is open to people of all abilities, and is accessible for people with disabilities.
Registering for the event
Program participants and coaches already involved with Girls on the Run Tri County SC do not need to register for the 5K. These people are already registered for the event, officials said.

Anyone else interested in participating in the event is required to register.
The registration cost was $40 for general runners, and $20 for junior runners (those 12 years old and younger), as of Nov. 3. Prices could increase as the event nears.
Junior runners must be accompanied by an adult.

Anyone who registers by Thursday, Nov. 6 is guaranteed a t-shirt. Shirts are not guaranteed after that date.
Parking, arrival time info
Those who are program participants with Girls on the Run should meet their coach at 7:30 a.m. at their designated flag. That information will be emailed a week before the race, organizers said.
Parking will be free in the parking lots around the Fountain Park area in Downtown Rock Hill. 5K participants will meet in the parking lot across the street from the park, officials said.
