CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) A Charlotte model and creative director is expanding her work to support aspiring talent in the local arts community.
Ajoké Ade, who works as a project manager by day, has built a career spanning photography, modeling, creative direction and event coordination. Her modeling work includes collaborations with major brands like Nike, Fear of God and Jordan Brand, with features in Complex and SneakerCon.
Those experiences led Ade to launch ANA Models, a community-based model development agency focused on helping new and aspiring models grow professionally. The agency hosts events including Vogue Sessions and Strut Classes, teaching runway walking, confidence and posture.
Building creative community
Ade is also developing Thursdays at Lag’s and a nonprofit called ART Studios. Both ventures aim to bring artists together, create opportunities and support local creatives.
Her path into the creative industry began with photography before transitioning to modeling. Some of her favorite professional experiences have been working with The Whitaker Group in Charlotte.
The model development agency represents Ade’s effort to give back to Charlotte’s creative community by providing resources and training for emerging talent.
