CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - Leluia Hall recently launched weekend brunch service featuring elevated takes on classic dishes.
The restaurant serves brunch Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome, and reservations can be made on the restaurant’s website.
Chef de Cuisine Christian Medrano and Sous Chef Alex Zellers prepared the restaurant’s signature Apple Bourbon French Toast during a morning cooking demonstration. The dish features custardy challah with brown butter crumble, apple butter, crushed peanuts and toasted meringue. It is served with thick cut bacon or breakfast sausage.
If brunch isn’t your thing - the chefs also showed us how to make saffron honey chicken from the dinner menu, which includes confit beurre blanc, chili crisp and charred red onion.
