CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - The Novant Health Thanksgiving Eve parade will step off at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday on Tryon Street in uptown Charlotte.
The parade was moved from Thanksgiving morning to Wednesday night several years ago. Floats, balloons and marching band members will be decorated with lights for the evening event.
More than 46,000 people attended the parade in uptown last year. Organizers recommend arriving early to secure viewing spots.
The JW Marriott Charlotte will offer special dining options surrounding the parade. Caroline’s Oyster Bar will serve before and after the event, featuring a live turkey roast and coastal Thanksgiving plates, said Brooke Davis, marketing manager of the JW Marriott Charlotte.
Each plate includes complimentary Overboard Coastal Cocoa with whipped cream and toppings. The restaurant will also serve a coastal Thanksgiving meal on Thanksgiving Day.
