Here’s a list of things to do the weekend of Dec. 5-7, 2025:
Uptown Holiday Market (Legacy Union Plaza), through Saturday: Returning for its third year, the Uptown Holiday Market is back in a new location. Head to the Bank of America Tower and you’ll find a selection of local vendors who are sure to help you check off everyone on your Christmas list. This year, you can find local businesses like Green Being Creations and Bonded Permanent Jewelry. While you shop, you can also check out the Coca-Cola Glass Tour at select hours, as well as the food stalls if the shopping gets you hungry. Bring your letter to Santa and drop it off at his mailbox. Admission is free.
Fourth Ward Holiday Sip & Stroll (Fourth Ward), Thursday through Saturday 5 to 9 p.m.: Fourth Ward comes alive with holiday cheer during this year’s annual sip and stroll. Take a leisurely tour through the historic neighborhood as you pass through Victorian-era homes dressed their holiday best. Along the way, you’ll encounter strolling musicians, as well as food and drink tastings. Upgrade your ticket to step inside three of the decorated homes. Tickets start at $30.

Mistletoe Market (Camp North End), Saturday 3 to 8 p.m.: It’s back! Camp North End transforms into your holiday headquarters with the return of the Mistletoe Market. Dozens of vendors set up camp so you can find some of the most unique gifts this year. Along with the festive market, you’ll also find ice skating at Camp North Pole or head under the Tower of Lights for live music, holiday crafts, an art fair and plenty of holiday photo opportunities. Admission is free.
Holidays in Huntersville (Veterans Park at Main & Maxwell), Friday & Saturday 3 to 8 p.m.: Huntersville is getting extra festive this weekend with two days of jolly joy. Celebrate the season with live performances, children’s rides, ice sculptures, face painters, holiday characters and so much more. Take pictures with Santa and find dozens of vendors to shop for everyone on your list this year. Check out their performance schedule to find acts like the Holly Hopkins Quartet and Cirque Souna. Admission is free.
Girls on the Run Reindeer Romp 5K (Downtown Rock Hill), Saturday 7 a.m.: Join WBTV this Saturday at this year’s Reindeer Romp 5K. Get going this holiday season with a fun run benefiting Girls on the Run. Join over 1,000 runners in a celebratory race that invites participants of all abilities to cross the finish line. After the race, head to the Fun Zone for photos, happy hair, face painting, dancing or head to the WBTV tent to get some free swag. Registration is $40.
Matthews Winter Wonderlights (Stumptown Park), Saturday 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.: Matthews transforms into the whimsical Winter Wonderlights this Saturday with an afternoon full of holiday family fun. You’ll find a winter maze, face painters, games, and balloon twisting, as well as a visit from Santa. Don’t miss live performances from the Charlotte Academy of Music and the Metrolina Christian Academy Choir. The day ends with the tree and park lighting. Admission is free.
ACC Football Championship: Duke vs. Virginia (Bank of America Stadium), Saturday 8 p.m.: The game is on between Duke University as they take on the University of Virgina for the ACC Championship game right here at Bank of America Stadium. Arrive early and head to the free Fan Fest at Romare Bearden Park to get hyped before the big game. Rick Ross will be headlining Fan Fest with a free concert. Tickets start at $76.

Christmas in Davidson (Downtown Davidson), Thursday through Saturday 6 to 9 p.m.: Santa Claus is coming to Davidson. Join Santa and your community in Davidson at the annual tree lighting ceremony on the Town Green. Then, dazzle in the holiday light show, enjoy strolling carolers, live nativity scenes and bubble snowflakes. Head to the artisan village for unique gifts you won’t be able to find anywhere else. Dress to impress and you can compete in the ugly sweater contest or have your four-legged friend join the doggie fashion show. Admission is free.
Carolina Holiday Light Spectacular (Ballantyne’s Backyard), nightly 5:30 to 10 p.m.: The Carolina Holiday Light Spectacular returns glowing for its fourth year. Get surrounded by over a million lights with larger-than-life displays, giant snow globes and a half-mile walking trail. Go down the Alpine Avalanche snow tube slide and browse through the holiday market. New this year are the Ballerinas and Snow Globe performances. You can also find Santa here through December 23rd. Admission ranges from $10 to $25 depending on date and time.
