Carolina Holiday Light Spectacular returns to Charlotte for 2025 season: What to know

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - The fourth annual Carolina Holiday Light Spectacular was taking over Ballantyne’s Backyard each night through the rest of 2025.

The annual light show experience -- which spans a half-mile in Charlotte’s Ballantyne neighborhood -- was set to run from Nov. 28 through Dec. 30, 2025. The show takes place nightly between 5:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.

General admission tickets for the show vary by date and time, and cost anywhere from $10-$20 or more. VIP tickets cost about $47 per person.

VIP ticketholders will receive a souvenir hot chocolate mug with “bottomless hot chocolate available during the event,” as well as access to a VIP lodge, bathrooms, and a special VIP event entrance.

Tickets would be available on site, but prices were expected to be higher, according to event organizers.

Visitors can expect over 1 million lights, over 25 interactive scenes, a winter carnival, ferris wheel, snow globes, music, and more at the event. Click here to learn more on the event’s website.
