CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - Get ready for some holiday magic!

The Charlotte Youth Ballet is presenting their 44th annual Nutcracker December 5 -7, at Central Piedmont’s Dale F. Halton Theater.

Join QC Life host Jana Angel as she talks with Gay Porter, founder of Charlotte Youth Ballet, and guest artist Aureo Andino.

Charlotte Youth Ballet is a regional company that gives student dancers the rare chance to perform in professional‑level productions — and this season is especially exciting.

Charlotte Youth Ballet Nutcracker Sneak Peak The production features dancers from 19 local studios performing alongside professional ballet dancers.

Dancers from 19 studios across the Charlotte region will share the stage with professional performers from Puerto Rico. Beyond classics like The Nutcracker, Snow White, The Wizard of Oz, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, and Coppélia, CYB also creates original productions designed to inspire audiences.

As a nonprofit, Charlotte Youth Ballet relies on ticket sales, donations, and a dedicated volunteer base to fund scholarships and community outreach.
