Books that help kids thrive

Books that help kids thrive From managing negative self-talk to making friends, Ashley Mangione’s kids books offer gentle tools for social-emotional growth.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - We’re keeping our QC Gift Guide series going with Ashley Mangione of Dynamic Learning Connection.

Ashley is a life coach with a master’s degree in counseling, an educator, an author, and a mom. She writes children’s books used in her practice to support social-emotional learning , and they make thoughtful, practical gifts for kids this season.

The stories grew out of real challenges she sees in her work — they help kids name feelings, practice coping skills, and build healthy relationships.

  • “The Boat”: One of Ashley’s books explores what it means to be a friend, how to have friends, and how to choose friends who lift you up.
  • “The Voice in My Head”: This book tackles those negative messages kids hear in their minds and offers ways to talk back to those voices.
  • “In the Mirror” (new book coming this spring): A book about self-image and the idea that everyone has their own mirror and their own path.

Right now Ashley is running a holiday sale — perfect timing for gift shopping. You can order her books online at dynamiclearningconnection.com or pick them up at your local bookstore. Follow Dynamic Learning Connection on Instagram and Facebook @dynamiclearningconnection.
