CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - “Mamma Mia!” returns, Charlotte SHOUT! brings color to Uptown, and Front Porch finds a new home.

Here’s a list of things to do the weekend of April 3-5, 2026:

’Mamma Mia!’ (Belk Theater), through Sunday: Here we go again! The worldwide smash hit musical is back celebrating over 25 years of bringing audiences to their feet with the beloved music of ABBA. Relive the magic with songs like “Dancing Queen,” “I Have a Dream,” and “Thank You For The Music.” The tour recently completed a record-breaking stop on Broadway and is continuing its journey across the country. Tickets start at $52.77.

Charlotte Fair (ZMAX Dragway), through Sunday: The fair is back! Head to the ZMAX Dragway for a day of family fun. From thrilling rides to those how-did-they-come-up-with-that fair food, the Charlotte Fair has something for everyone. Go hog wild at pig racing or catch gravity-defying stunts by the High Flying Pages aerial troupe. Admission is $8 for children and $12 for adults. All rides are sold separately.

Charlotte SHOUT! (various locations), opening weekend: It’s the Queen City’s most colorful and vibrant festival! Celebrate the city’s art, culture and community by taking part in events all around town. From brand new art installations to interactive technological displays, get inspired by works crafted by local artists. Most experiences are free and open to the public. Check the website for schedules and programming running April 3-19.

StrEATS Uncorked (2 Wells Fargo), Friday 6 to 9 p.m.: Sip your way through North Carolina with the state’s finest wines and regional cuisines. Savor the flavors of award-winning wines harvested right here and purchase your favorites to take home. You’ll also get to enjoy local cuisine crafted by top Charlotte chefs and live music from The Agave Brothers. Admission is $75 plus fees. 21 and over only.

Eric Church (Spectrum Center), Saturday 7:30 p.m.: Country fans, rejoice: Eric Church is coming back to the Queen City with “The Free Machine Tour.” In support of his latest album, “Evangeline vs. The Machine,” the 10-time Grammy nominee blends his new hits with the classics like “Taladega.” Church will be joined by special guest Ashley McBryde. Tickets start at $52.55.

Spring Hunt (Camp North End), Saturday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.: It’s an egg hunt for ALL ages. Scour the expansive grounds of Camp North End to find eggs hidden around every corner. Some of the eggs can even get you some deep discounts at some of your favorite Camp North End shops and restaurants.

Front Porch (FreeMoreWest), Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: The popular outdoor market is back with a brand-new location. Catch the first Front Porch (previously Front Porch Sundays) at FreeMoreWest: 2135 Thrift Road in Charlotte. Everything you know and love about the market but in a bigger location which means even more local vendors to shop. The new Front Porch returns once a month on the first Saturday through December. Admission is free.

Charlotte Brew Fest (South End Station Parking Lot), Saturday 1 to 4 p.m.: Raise a glass to national beer day with a festival offering unlimited samples of your favorite craft brews. Each ticket includes a commemorative tasting glass, three hours of sampling, live music, games and a chance to vote for the day’s best beer. You’ll find over 25 breweries like NoDa, Legion and so much more. Proceeds benefit AltruSpirit, a local nonprofit. Admission starts at $40.17. Ages 21 and over only.

Carowinds Spring Break (Carowinds), through April 12: Elevate your spring break with the thrills and adventures of the Carolina theme park. Celebrate the season with activities all around the park including Springtime Eye Spy, an Easter Egg hunt, PEANUTS Dance Party, as well as bubble party. Plus enjoy all the rides, food and fun that you know and love from Carowinds. Activities are included with single day or season pass admission.
