CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - Supporting children who have lost a parent, The ROB Foundation provides scholarships and ongoing support for students who’ve experienced the loss of a parent or guardian.

The Foundation offers a scholarship program for high school seniors and college students in North and South Carolina. Losing a parent can mean losing both emotional support and household income, creating real barriers when it’s time to take the next step after high school.

The ROB Foundation was inspired by a local family who lost their father unexpectedly, leaving behind a mother and two boys. That experience sparked a mission to help other students facing similar hardships.

The Foundation’s upcoming event, Boots & Brews, is Sunday, April 26 from 12–3. It’s a free, family-friendly event, please register in advance for food, drinks, and activities.

Scholarship applications are open through April 30. Learn more at robfoundation.org and follow @the.robfoundation.
