CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra’s beloved Summer Pops Concert Series returns to Symphony Park for its 43rd year, with performances every Sunday in June led by Resident Conductor Christopher James Lees. A cherished Charlotte tradition, Summer Pops brings thousands together for an evening of music, picnics, and fun under the stars.
This year’s concerts take place June 7, 14, 21, and 28 as part of a celebration of America 250, with music including American Classics, Best of Broadway, Hollywood Hits, and Celebrate America. Gates open at 5 p.m., prelude acts begin at 7 p.m., and the Symphony performs at 8:15 p.m. Parking is free, and guests can bring a picnic or enjoy onsite food trucks and beverage vendors.
WBTV is the official weather partner of The Symphony helping keep concertgoers informed and weather-ready all month long. WBTV Anchor Shevaun Bryan will emcee opening night on June 7 and Meteorologist Lisa Villegas will join for Celebrate America on June 28.
