Here’s a list of things to do the weekend of Aug. 14-16, 2026:
& Juliet (Belk Theater), through Sunday: What would happen if Juliet lived at the end of Shakespeare’s classic? Take a musical journey all about love and a new start at life with the pop songs you grew up with like “Baby One More Time,” “Since U Been Gone,” “Larger Than Life,” and more. From London’s West End to Broadway, & Juliet has been having audiences “Roar” for years with its pop anthems and glittery fun. Tickets start at $47.03.
Bob the Drag Queen (Comedy Zone), Thursday to Saturday: Keep the Charlotte Pride party going by catching Bob the Drag Queen’s standup show at The Comedy Zone. The RuPaul’s Drag Race winner is hitting the stage and is ready to serve some serious sass purse first. Tickets start at $36.35.

Tim McGraw (Truliant Amphitheater), Friday 7:30 p.m.: Country favorite Tim McGraw is rocking Truliant Amphitheater this Friday with the “Pawn Shop Guitar Tour.” Sing along as he plays his biggest hits like “I Like It, I Love It” and “Something Like That,” plus new ones including his latest track that the tour is named after. 49 Winchester opens for McGraw. Tickets start at $54.75.
Charlotte Pride and Parade (First Ward Park), Saturday & Sunday: Uptown’s largest festival returns in an all-new location for an action-packed weekend celebrating the local LGBTQ+ community. With tons of live entertainment, art exhibits, vendors, a food court and so much more, Charlotte Pride has something for everyone. This year’s headliners include Flyana Boss, Lauren Sanderson and Bryan Ruby. Don’t miss the vibrant Charlotte Pride Parade on Sunday starting at 1 p.m. down N. Tryon Street. Open Saturday from noon to 10 p.m. and Sunday noon to 6 p.m. Admission is free.
India Independence Day (Hindu Center of Charlotte), Saturday 12 to 3 p.m.: Celebrate the 80th year of India’s independence with a cultural festival that is open to all. Watch a flag hoisting ceremony, enjoy Indian cultural dances and music, see an exhibit honoring Indian Independence Day, as well as plenty of delicious Indian cuisine and a vendor market. Admission is free.
Charlotte Crown vs. Jacksonville Waves (Bojangles Coliseum), Saturday 4 p.m.: Get ready to support your Charlotte Crown! The professional women’s basketball team is heating up the court at their home turf as they take on the Jacksonville Waves. Tickets start at $21.65.
41st Annual Stellar Awards (Spectrum Center), Saturday 4:30 p.m.: Gospel’s biggest night comes to Charlotte for the very first time. Hosted by Kirk Franklin, the 41st annual Stellar Awards are bringing the biggest names in Gospel under one roof right here at the Spectrum Center. Watch out for performances by Kirk Franklin, John P. 5 Seconds of Summer (Truliant Amphitheater), Saturday 7 p.m.: The Aussies are back. 5 Seconds of Summer is heading to Truliant Amphitheater with the “Everyone’s a Star Tour.” With over a decade of hits, the band reflects back on some of their breakout hits like “She Looks So Perfect” and “Teeth,” to some deep cuts for the biggest 5SOS fans. 5SOS will be joined by The Band Camino and Haiden Henderson. Charlotte FC vs. Columbus Crew (Bank of America Stadium), Saturday 7:30 p.m.: Charlotte FC plays Columbus Crew this weekend as they had back to regular season games. Cheer on The Crown for another high-octane evening of soccer and pack The Fortress with fans. Tickets start at $46.10.
