CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - August is National Dog Month, and our friends at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control stopped by QC Life to shine a spotlight on some of the shelter’s most rewarding residents: senior dogs.
For first-time pet owners, busy professionals, or families who simply don’t have the time to tackle intensive puppy training, a senior dog can be an absolute blessing. Older dogs are typically already house-trained and past the destructive chewing phases. They are also comfortable with routine and kennel-trained, making them highly adaptable if you need to work a standard day. Most of all, senior dogs just want to offer love, affection, and relaxed companionship.
If you are looking to support CMACC this month, there has never been a better time to give. Thanks to a generous matching campaign through the month of August, any donations made will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $15,000, helping CMACC provide critical care and resources to dogs awaiting their forever homes.
