CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Concerts, comedy and conventions all weekend long in Charlotte.

Here’s a list of things to do the weekend of Aug. 21-23, 2026:

Nikki Glaser (Ovens Auditorium), Thursday & Friday 7 p.m.: The Emmy, Grammy and Golden Globe-nominated comedian is back with her latest standup tour: “The Stunning Tour.” For two nights only, Nikki Glaser will grace the stage at the Ovens Auditorium with her signature style of self-deprecating comedy. Tickets start at $55.60.

Mad Monster Expo (Embassy Suites by Hilton Concord), Friday to Sunday: Horror fans, it’s your weekend to meet some of the biggest stars in the genre, as well as fans from around the country. The annual convention is bursting with stars including Heather Matarazzo from “Scream,” Jon Abrahams from “Scary Movie,” and more. You can also head exhibitor’s hall and find creepy collectibles, movie memorabilia and frightful films. Sing your heart out at the Mad Monster Scaraoke, if you dare. Weekend passes are $80, single day tickets start at $35.

Collect-A-Con (Charlotte Convention Center), Saturday & Sunday: One of the country’s largest pop culture conventions returns to Charlotte for an exciting weekend with almost 1,000 vendors selling everything from hard-to-find Funko POP! Figures to exclusive Pokémon cards. Don’t miss your chance to meet special guests including Walter E. Jones, the original Black Power Ranger, and a performance by Soulja Boy. Two-day passes start at $50 with single day admission available. Open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free for children 7 and under.

Luke Bryan (Truliant Amphitheater), Saturday 7 p.m.: Luke Bryan might be behind the desk on American Idol these days, but the country superstar is still rocking it out on stage. With the latest release of his single “Word on the Street,” the identically named tour is making a stop here in Charlotte at Truliant Amphitheater. Luke will be joined by Drew Baldridge, Randall King, Zach John King and DJ Rock. Tickets start at $78.50.

Charlotte FC vs. DC United (Bank of America Stadium), Saturday 7:30 p.m.: The Summer of Soccer continues with Charlotte FC duking it out against DC United. This Saturday, come early as fans can get a limited-edition Sir Minty pillow plush at the gate while supplies last. It’s also Kids Rule Night so bring the young fans to The Fortress this Saturday where they call the shots. Tickets start at $32.40.

Parlor of Wonder Dinner & Magic Show (Dunhill Hotel), Saturday 6 p.m.: Abracadabra! Get dinner and a show at the Parlor of Wonder. Experience an up-close and interactive magical experience with magician Lyndy Phillips along with a cocktail hour and three-course dinner for two by the culinary team at The Asbury. Upgrade your experience to include an overnight stay at the historic hotel. Bookings for the dinner and show start at $85 per person.

Black Men’s Wellness Day (Park Expo & Conference Center), Saturday 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Celebrate the Black men in your life by keeping them on top of their health and wellness. Head to Park Expo and Conference Center this Saturday for a wellness day where guests can find free health screenings with healthcare professionals, a senior pavilion, kids zone and entertainment. Join the 5K if you want to get your heart pumping for the weekend. Admission is free.

BIG3 Championship (Spectrum Center), Sunday 12:30 p.m.: The BIG3, founded by rapper Ice Cube, season ends right here in the Queen City. Catch the 3-on-3 stars as the Dallas Power takes on the Boston Ball Hogs. Who will reign as the 2026 BIG3 Champion? Catch it live at the Spectrum Center. Soulja Boy will be performing at the halftime show. Tickets start at $41.58.

Hasan Minhaj and Ronny Chieng (Belk Theater), Sunday 7 p.m.: Are you ready for a live “debate to the death?” Comedians Hasan Minhaj and Ronny Chieng are here to prove that the only way to bring a divided nation together is hatred. In “Hasan Hates Ronny | Ronny Hates Hasan,” the two will face off on our nation’s hottest topics like the economy and war in a race to the bottom as two people who hate each other. It’s not a call for peace, it’s a call for pettiness. Tickets start at $50.13.
