CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - When three-year-old Luke was diagnosed with stage III T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma, his family’s world instantly stopped. What followed was a grueling journey of 132 rounds of chemotherapy and months of uncertainty that no family is ever truly prepared for. In February 2024, a triumphant sound echoed through the halls of Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital: Luke rang the victory bell, marking the end of his treatment.
To support other families walking this difficult path, Luke’s mother, Megan Miller, founded Next Chapter Station and authored the heartfelt children’s book, “Luke and the Lost Bell”. Written directly from their family’s experience, the book was created so that every child fighting cancer knows they are brave, deeply loved, and that their own victory bell is waiting for them.
The core mission of Next Chapter Station is that no child or family battling cancer should ever have to pay for a copy of this book. Every dollar raised goes directly toward printing and distributing copies to hospitals, clinics, and pediatric cancer organizations nationwide.
