CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - QC Life host Jana Angel headed to The Stick with the Knothole Foundation to spotlight one of the Queen City’s greatest, most spirited traditions: the 92nd Annual Charlotte Chiefs Cup Game.
The legendary charity showdown pits the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department against the Charlotte Fire Department in an exciting, high-energy baseball matchup. While the friendly on-field rivalry brings plenty of competitive action, the real heart of the event is giving back. All proceeds from the game directly support the Salute to Heroes Charlotte Foundation, which provides vital financial and emotional assistance to local first responders and their families.
This year’s game carries even deeper significance as the community comes together to pay tribute to frontline heroes on the 25th anniversary of 9/11. Designed for fans of all ages, it’s a family-friendly day of sports, remembrance, and community spirit—bringing Charlotte together to cheer on local heroes and ensure they receive the support they deserve.
The event is the CMPD Blue Hornets vs. CFD Blaze on Saturday, September 12th at the Richard “Stick” Williams Dream Field and the first pitch is at 7:04 - it is free to attend.
