CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - In honor of Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, NoahStrong Foundation Founder Gina Cugliari and Community Relations Chairperson Jacquie Cugliari join QC Life to raise awareness and share how they are helping local families. Cancer remains the leading disease-related cause of death among young people in the United States, with more than 15,000 children and teens diagnosed each year.
For NoahStrong Foundation founder Gina Cugliari, that reality is deeply personal. After losing her son, Noah, to cancer, her family experienced firsthand how a diagnosis reshapes an entire household. In Noah’s honor, they launched NoahStrong to enhance the quality of life and emotional well-being of young patients and their families, providing uplifting experiences that remind children they are far more than a medical diagnosis.
The community is invited to their annual Go for Gold event on Saturday, September 19, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at John’s Place in Matthews (2945 Matthews-Weddington Rd).
Guests can enjoy a pizza buffet, beverages, a guest speaker, and an extensive raffle featuring more than $15,000 in donated prizes - including an original painting by Sandy Palasti, designer accessories, UNC vs. NC State football tickets, and handcrafted woodwork. Raffle tickets are $10 each or 3 for $25, and supporters can purchase tickets online without being present to win.
