CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - High fashion and tail-wagging charm are coming together for the 2nd Annual Canine Couture, a one-of-a-kind fundraiser benefiting the Humane Society of Concord and Greater Cabarrus County. Event Coordinator Douglas Lowe and Executive Director Judy Sims are bringing the community together for an afternoon that is part fashion show, part pet parade, and all heart. Held Saturday, September 26, at Lentz Studio in Downtown Concord (doors open at 11:30 a.m.), the runway event will be emceed by WBTV’s very own Lisa Villegas, who will guide guests through an afternoon of fall style, sparkling sips, and heartwarming rescue stories.
Professional models will strut down an artificial green turf runway alongside adorable, adoptable rescue dogs, showcasing the latest men’s and women’s fall trends—from casual chic to elegant evening wear—courtesy of local favorites Mary Jane’s Boutique and be Boutique. Guests will enjoy wine, champagne, sweet treats, and a silent auction, with VIP ticket holders receiving exclusive seating and a curated swag bag. Most importantly, every ticket sold directly funds vital shelter operations, medical and veterinary care, and adoption services for the hundreds of animals the Humane Society serves each year.
