CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - It is an electric morning at Lake Wylie High School as the school celebrated the special dedication of its auditorium. To mark the occasion, QC Life host Jana Angel headed out to spend the day with the school’s standout marching band - and learn firsthand what it takes to perform with the best.
From brass to percussion, Jana got a crash course from the student musicians themselves, testing her skills on the instruments and getting an inside look at the dedication behind their sound. This is far from an ordinary high school band: the talented ensemble has already taken their music to the national stage with an appearance in the prestigious Rose Bowl Parade, and they have their sights set on becoming one of the premier band programs in both South Carolina and the country.
As the program continues to grow, community support plays a vital role. Whether you have gently used instruments tucked away in a closet or want to help through sponsorships, every contribution helps keep the music playing for these dedicated students.
