CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - Kids Fest 2026 returns Saturday, October 3rd from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Boardwalk at University City, 8931 JM Keynes Drive. The festival features six interactive areas — Create, Arts, Learn, Play, Go with big construction and emergency vehicles, and a Sensory Zone hosted by Autistic Youth International for autistic and neurodivergent youth — plus food trucks, Charlotte vendors, and performances all day on the Festival Circle Main Stage. Desmond Davidson as Miles Morales and Grand Marshal Roman Butzlaff will join the celebration.
More than 6,500 guests have attended in past years, bringing thousands of families together for inclusive, screen-free fun that sparks early learning through science, arts, and play — with support from University City Partners, UNC Charlotte, and 100+ student volunteers.
