Bringing mundane nightmares to life

Bringing mundane nightmares to life Mount Airy horror director Caulkdraggin (Ryan McGee) brings his found-footage nightmares to QC Life.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - Independent horror filmmaker and director Caulkdraggin, professionally known as Ryan McGee, is putting North Carolina horror on the map.

Originally from Mount Airy, Caulkdraggin has been obsessed with horror since childhood — and now he loves giving audiences that same scary feeling he grew up loving. He describes his work as mundane nightmares and modern-day boogeymen designed to make you believe and get lost in the reality he creates.

Known for found-footage-style horror filmed in one continuous shot with no cuts or edits, his goal is to leave you stuck in the terror.

His short film “Daphne” is an official selection of the 2026 Ibiza Halloween Film Festival. He’s also currently competing in Face of Halloween, decided by public vote. You can vote for him here: https://faceofhalloween.org/2026/caulkdraggin
