CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - Multidisciplinary artist Sir Will creates work that celebrates the vibrant essence of his Southern upbringing - inspired by the cultural styles and traditions of Black communities in the South.
Growing up with limited representation of Black artists, Sir Will forged his own artistic identity, drawing from warm Southern colors, cars, fashion, and the strong women in his family.
In addition to his personal practice, Sir Will is a dedicated contributor to Charlotte’s arts community as an educator, mentor and advocate. He co-founded BLKMRKTCLT, an artist collective and gallery space, and currently serves as Media Manager for the Talking Walls Charlotte Mural Festival.
Since 2018, Talking Walls has contributed over 50 murals to Charlotte’s landscape, enhancing the city’s visual appeal while bridging communities through creative engagement and education. The festival brings in local, regional and international artists.
