CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - This One Tank Trip takes us about an hour north of Charlotte to Jonesville, where the Slice of the Valley Country Ham Festival brings the community together for a fun-filled day in the heart of the Yadkin Valley.
The region has a rich agricultural history, and local farms and pigs are big part of the story. You can enjoy two live bands, clogging, a pig race, contests and a 5K, along with artisan crafts, food vendors and activities for all ages. Jonesville’s walking trails and community spaces are part of its effort to make the area welcoming for everyone.
The festival is November 7 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 121 Delos Martin Drive.
