CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - Nearly $350,000 in scholarships are coming to students at the John Crosland School in southwest Charlotte.
The education funding is coming thanks to HoopTee Charities and founder Fred Whitfield, who was formerly the president and vice chairman of the Charlotte Hornets.
“We are honored to support the educational foundation that the John Crosland School provides for students who learn differently,” HoopTee Charities said. “Our mission is built on helping all young people reach their fullest potential.”
The charity donated a total of $336,000 to the school.
Hallie Rojeski of the John Crosland School and Whitfield joined the show to talk about their new partnership.
