MATTHEWS, N.C. (QC Life) - To meet the growing demand for Oaklore spirits, the Matthews-based distillery, bar and tasting room acquired a 6,000 sq. foot building on roughly 1.5 acres adjacent to its current location.
We invited Jack Shute, the head of sales and commercial operations with Oaklore Distilling, to the show to give us the details of the expansion plans.

He also brought one bottle of Oaklore Four Grain Bourbon and one of North Carolina Straight Rye Whiskey with him to the studio, two of their best-selling beverages.
They are currently available in more than 60 bars and restaurants as well as over 50 ABC stores across the state, according to the expert.
Since the new production premises will increase square footage for burgeoning spirits by more than 600% and taking into account the growing demand for their products, Oaklore hopes to expand its distribution beyond state borders by the end of 2025.

The new building will be used as a warehouse, processing, shipping, and receiving, kitchen and office space, said Shute.
As soon as the renovation is completed within the next month, they will begin to move barrels inside the new premises for additional aging and eventual processing.
What’s more, Shute said they developed a new automatic bottling system that will also be housed inside the facility.
As a result, customers will be able to take a tour through the premises and get a glimpse of how the product moves from barrel to bottle very soon, according to the expert.
