A new Bartaco location just opened in Birkdale Village

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - Do you want to take a beach vacation without leaving your hometown? If so, read on!

Zach Gauthier, the General Manager, and Pedro Lopez, the Executive Chef with Bartaco, came by the QC Kitchen today to prepare their signature ‘Classic Margarita’ and ‘Soft-shell Crab Taco’ for us.

They also brought two of their best-sellers, the ‘Pistachio Cauliflower’ and the ‘Tuna Tatako’ along with them.

According to Gauthier, they will be hosting a grand opening party on April 11 from 7 to 10 p.m. at their location in Birkdale Village, Huntersville.

Guests can look forward to an all-you-can-drink, all-you-can-drink buffet with delicious bites and cocktails, including fan favorites like their pork belly, chicken, ribeye, baja fish, mushroom, and falafel tacos.

In addition to that, they will prepare esquites, plantains, chips, salsa, guac, poke, and pineapple tajin skewers as well as churros and mini key lime and tres leches for dessert.

For a ticket price of $60, attendees can also put their bartending skills to the test and make their own margarita as well as try out all their cocktail creations.

What’s more, the event will feature a tequila tasting with a nice smoky mezcal, live music by Dub Kartel, a photo booth and swag bags consisting of a free set of hot sauces, a make-your-own-margarita kit, a branded t-shirt, a bandana, and a cocktail shaker.

According to Gauthier, all of the proceeds from the ticket sale will go towards ‘Cool Kids Clubhouse’, a Huntersville based non-profit organization, providing enriching experiences and opportunities for children fighting cancer in our community.

Gauthier also shared that the taco, they made for us today, their brand-new ‘Soft-shell Crab Taco’ will only be available during the month of April as part of the #givingtaco initiative. $1 from every taco sold will also be donated to the Cool Kids Clubhouse.

Lastly, the two Bartaco experts wanted to remind us that their restaurant is popular not only for its delicious food and drinks but also for its relaxed atmosphere, coastal-inspired artwork, various global cuisines, and fresh, quality ingredients.

“Our goal is that when you walk through the door, you’ve left the real world behind and you’re on vacation. We want you to feel like you’re on the beach,” Gauthier said.
